To Mount Radomir and Kamena waterfal
We booked 2 nights at x. Kongur and we left Sofia on Friday afternoon, several people and 1 dog. We planned a two-day hike to the village of Kongur in Belasitsa. We left Sofia on Friday to sleep at the hut and on Saturday to go up early in the morning. We reached the lodge by car. The last kilometers are on a nice dirt road.
Kongur Hut is a former outpost. At the moment it looks very good - renovated rooms and bathroom. There is very good internet, although the phones were losing range. Delicious food is also available. The front lawn is full of gazebos and eating areas, children's swings and a large trampoline. The kids really liked the trampoline. Every free minute they jumped happily. The meadow is also full of flowers. A very cozy atmosphere has been created.
On Saturday, we left at 9:15 through Mount Kongur in the direction of Mount Radomir. We first climbed Mt. Kongur and continued along the road to Mt. Radomir. From the last pass, we headed along the path to Radomir peak. From h. We took Kongur to Mount Radomir in 4 hours and 15 minutes. At the top, we took pictures and ate. Swarms of insects swarmed in clouds around us. There were lots of ladybugs biting and landing all over us and hitting our ears. That's why it's good to carry a mosquito net.
From Mount Radomir we went back along the ridge. On the right there were nice views of Greece and Lake Kirkini. It sprinkled rain. But we were prepared - we wore waterproof jackets. And the Alpina shoes we wore are also waterproof.
We returned to the lodge. The next day we went to the waterfalls above the village of Kamena. First you pass through Sramezlivetsa waterfall. We went up to the second waterfall. En masse, people only go up to the first one. From the second to the third waterfall it is very weedy and we left it for another time. But we went to the waterfall above the village of Yavornitsa. A small, easily accessible and beautiful waterfall.
After that, we had lunch in the village of Samuilovo at the Yankish Guest House and drove back to Sofia. Before getting into the car, we changed into sandals and sneakers to make the trip easier.
